1. Introduction

Web based and mobile app for event management that gets people together in real life was conceptualized and detailed documentations provided. Objective of the application was to let people indulge in things they like, meet people with similar and diverse interests. As an event platform, application takes the role of making events simple to organize and delightful to participate in.

2. Situation

Client had business idea which they wanted to make it live. Idea was in brain and nothing was on paper. Client wanted to make this application live to many cities across the globe having it multi functional and multi platform application for web, mobile, tablet compatible.

3. Solution

After initial brainstorming session we have kick started this project. We have suggested Scrum methodology for this project as this project involved cross functional teams across the globe and client wanted to make this project phase wise. We have supported client with Product Owner and Scrum Master, UI designer and Functional tester. Weekly sprint meetings planned for 8 weeks with daily sprint update and weekly sprint planning and review. Documentation with wireframe, User stories, and functional test cases were developed. We also suggested JIRA platform for managing all features, bugs and tasks.

4. Methodology

  • Define Vision- Identify objective, initial release plan, Assemble team and high level scope
  • Meeting Strategy- list of product backlogs are identified and converted into task to be completed.
  • Identifying product backlogs- Features are listed according functionality and priority. Updating product backlogs.Product backlogs are changed as per need.
  • Goal setting- Goal helps the team to meet the objectives and to track how much work is remaining.
  • Conduct retrospective- Each member is asked to identify specific things that team should start doing, stop doing and continue doing. Feature sign off from client
